Aim

The aim of the junior coaching is to develop the senior players of the future. We provide regular coaching for all age groups by experienced coaches and volunteers. Leicester Hockey Club is formally accredited by England Hockey under ClubsFirst as an appropriate environment in which to learn about hockey.
Many players at the club receive invites to guest for other clubs; please note that if you attend Leicester training, we will expect priority if we require you for a tournament.
The next tournament involving all junior sides - November 9th (Leicester Hockey Club vs Loughborough)

How do you join and how much does it cost?

Each participant must complete a membership form with the basic contact details and medical information. Leicester Hockey Club now charges £25 for junior membership unless you are a student at Leicester Grammar School.

Junior Representative Hockey

Leicester Hockey Club are now in a position to place secondary boys (Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) of an appropriate standard at representative ‘core skills’ training run by the County on a Thursday evening. Email me for more details, as there is a charge for this coaching of £20 for 10 sessions and a separate form must be completed for the School and Youth organisation.

Leicester Hockey Club and Leicester Grammar School

Leicester Hockey Club now have a formal link with Leicester Grammar School.
The overall standard of hockey will be kept much higher if the participating player base is kept as wide as possible. There is an opportunity to link with the community through boys’ hockey and build a men’s club of elite standard. The community in the immediate locality of the school will benefit as well as the unique ethnic mix which constitutes Leicester. The school will be seen to be following a charitable mandate within a population from which we attract students.
